Sony To Launch Smartphone Games In 2018: Nikkei
Sony is setting high near term sales figure expectations for PlayStation VR’s rollout.
With all the hype of Playstation VR over the years, Sony finally enters into the world of virtual reality, and unleashes one of the best Playstation VR which is also known by the code name Project Morpheus during development. All available PlayStation VR units were sold out on the day.
On top of that there’s also a number of free demos. What that means is that you can watch movies or play regular non-VR games on a simulated giant screen when you have the headset on.

Sony’s largest gaming rival Microsoft Corp plans to release a new Xbox One console next year that is expected to support VR headsets of its partners including Oculus. If you’ve been following the tech-gadget and/or gaming scenes, whether through social media or just industry-news websites, you’ve most likely heard of the PlayStation VR, Sony’s virtual-reality gaming peripheral, to be used with their flagship Playstation4 console.

PlayStation Camera, which is required for Playstation VR, and PlayStation Move motion controllers, which are an optional extra, are both sold separately. According to CNBC, Sony says there are some 160 PlayStation VR games now in development.
