Bengals Def/Spec Team: Bengals looking to pressure CLE

The Bengals have failed to score more than 17 points in all four of their losses this season.

Now sitting at 2-4 after six tough weeks, the Cincinnati Bengals’ schedule has been anything but smooth sailing.

Baltimore (3-3) is only a game behind Pittsburgh in the standings, but the Ravens have lost three in a row while suffering numerous injuries.

Even though Cleveland has struggled on defense, the Browns have still been able to be competitive this season. The division isn’t almost as strong this season as it has been in recent years, and you still have a shot. Cincinnati’s playoff hopes depend on not allowing its northern OH rival to snatch its first victory of the season on Sunday. That said, none of the teams in this division are now looking like major contenders to make noise in the playoffs.

The CB has played in four games this year. This week, they will hope to give their confounding 2016 season a proverbial shot in the arm by adding win No. 47 to the tally. Unfortunately, those were the only two picks that he has this year.

Hue Jackson had nothing but good things to say about Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict on Wednesday.

As for the Bengals, playing the Browns could be just what the doctor ordered. Watch them at your own risk. It’s certainly harder said than done, but these are games the Bengals should win and need to win. I’ve learned lessons from watching others go through this.
