Donald Trump Threatens To Ramp Up Mudslinging At Clintons
Jennifer Palmieri, communications director for Clinton’s campaign, issued a statement viewed by Variety that commented, “We’re not surprised to see Donald Trump continue his destructive race to the bottom”.
Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton watch during the second presidential debate between Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton at Washington University in St. Louis, Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016.
His point: I talk about it, Bill Clinton did it. Just two days before the debate, a 2005 tape of Trump surfaced, in which he was heard talking about how he can sexually assault women at will because of his “celebrity” status. We were sick of it when we had to deal with her husband and all the scandals nonstop while he was in office.
Twitter said the debate was the most tweeted ever, with more than 17 million debate-related posts sent, and Mr Trump’s “gentleman” remark was one of the most mentioned moments.
“We were going to put the four women in the VIP box”, said former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who represents Trump in debate negotiations.
“Hillary Clinton is a quality candidate who is unquestionably well-prepared to lead this country”, the magazine said.
“Please allow her to respond”, Cooper, 49, said.
Sandy Reynolds, president of the Santa Rosa Democratic Club, said Trump was better prepared and “on the attack”. That period also coincided with another of Trump’s public feuds, with the Muslim parents of a slain Army captain, who criticized his proposal to ban Muslim immigration. Accepting this, he returned the compliment, “She doesn’t quit and doesn’t give up”.
But even as their candidate focused her appearances on other battleground states, the Clinton campaign continued to push their economic message and register voters – especially minorities and young people – with a ground game far superior to that of the Republicans.
“I do have some advice for Donald”, she said, “If he wants to make America great again, start by buying American steel for his construction projects”.
While the Republican nominee had a mostly cordial experience with Lester Holt, the first debate’s moderator, Trump lashed out at the town hall moderators on Sunday night for his perceived mistreatment. She drilled home the message about Trump’s bad record with American made manufactured goods, specifically steel and aluminum.
