Tech Report: Apple refreshes Mac with new keyboard touch functions

The new MacBook Pro is thinner, lighter and brighter than anything Apple has produced before and it now includes a clever new Touch Bar panel.

It’s said that next year’s iPhone will look completely different thanks to an edge-to-edge OLED display that could take up the entire front side of the device, as well as a glass body similar to the one on the iPhone 4 and 4S. The Touch ID fingerprint reader enables online purchases with the touch of a finger.

The first bit of news that has broken recently, emanating from the Japanese news outlet Nikkei, is that Apple may release three separate models of the iPhone 8 in 2017, with a new five-inch contender among them.

According to Scobble, the Cupertino-based company has set up a large 600-member team, just for the display sensor. Previously, it was less than $1,300. “Apple is eager to retain its slim 4.7” model that can easily fit in anyone’s pocket in price and size.

It seems a safe bet that the phone will be released in September, Apple’s traditional time for unveiling new devices.

The absence of new desktops may not be a problem for Apple this holiday season as consumers increasingly use laptops as their primary home-computing device.

Thankfully, Apple has made it relatively straightforward for Windows users to watch the October 27 “Hello Again” Mac event live stream, though you will need to be on Windows 10.

“Macs are well down Apple’s priority list these days, behind phones, services, enterprise, etc.”, Nomura analyst Jeffrey Kvaal said in a report.

In fact, Apple says their new Retina display is 67% brighter than the previous generation, features 67% more contrast and is the first Mac notebook display to support a wide colour gamut.

Maestri wouldn’t comment on how many iPhones Apple expects to sell in December quarter, but Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster estimated the company’s revenue forecast suggests it will sell 78.5 million iPhones. Within a month, Apple shares were up 17 percent. Another notable tip is that Apple is also planning to out an iPhone 8 with an 8GB RAM, much like Samsung’s current DRAM project. “Apple is not for everybody”.
