Millennials say ‘no thanks’ to holiday shopping, driving online sales

This was a day when shoppers would look for must have items for friends and family, as well as themselves, often with plenty of shelves being overturned in the process. This year, it’s staying closed on Thanksgiving and Black Friday for the second straight year.

“Wal-Mart has been benefiting from better service and for this holiday season, it should be a boon”, said Ken Perkins, president of research firm Retail Metrics LLC.
