Four dead after jet crashes into UK vehicle yard
All four people on board the plane were killed, said Inspector Olga Venner from Hampshire Police.
British automatic Auctions in Farnham said the stunt plane stopped into its building, which has been evacuated.
“We’re dealing with an air emergency incident at Blackbushe Airport”. The private jet, which was arriving from Italy, crashed during an attempt to land at Blackbushe Airport in Yateley.
There are unconfirmed reports the aircraft overshot the runway and crashed into vehicles at the auto auction centre which is also located at the airport.
“The scene was attended by Blackbushe Fire and Rescue within minutes, followed by Hampshire fire, police and ambulance units”.
She said: “sadly there were no survivors.no one on the ground has been injured”.
“It’s actually clipped the fence, spun around and crashed into the cars where they are sold”. He said the plane “went up in a ball of flames in about 60 seconds”.
“The whole place was engulfed with very thick black smoke which the fire brigade is still trying to get on top of”.
The Farnborough-based Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) confirmed it has sent a team to investigate the aircraft accident.
