West Virginia election results: Donald Trump easily wins over Hillary Clinton
LIASSON: Well, we’re still looking to see if Donald Trump can ride a huge wave of white non-college voters to overcome Hillary Clinton’s advantages with minorities, young people and women.
Big target states like Pennsylvania and Michigan’s polls close at 8:00 p.m. ET, while things will end in NY at 9:00 p.m. ET.
Virginia, South Carolina and Georgia, however, were too close to call.
The only two states where a president-elect doesn’t automatically garner every electoral vote by virtue of winning the state are Nebraska and Maine.
The exit poll of 1,817 IN voters was conducted for AP and the television networks by Edison Research IN a random sample of 30 precincts statewide.
Math really does matter.
But Trump continues to hold the electoral-vote lead as he nears the necessary 270 to win. Many news organizations rely on the AP’s decisions.
For more than half of Kentucky’s voters, a president who can bring about “needed change” was the single most important quality they sought in a candidate.
Earlier in the day, while boarding her campaign plane in upstate NY on the way to Pennsylvania, Clinton conceded that the campaign had exposed deep political fractures in the country and that “some work” will be required to unify the nation. But there also are warning signs for Clinton, with African-Americans not as large a proportion of the early-voting electorate as they were for President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012.
Even Tennessee school students this year picked Trump over Clinton. Both are expected to make a show of trekking to their local polling places on Tuesday, Clinton in Chappaqua, New York, and Trump in New York City.
He also selected Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate.
Early reports indicate that it is tight between the two presidential contenders in Florida and Virginia.
In Williston, David Keefe said he voted for Trump.
In eastern Kentucky, Republican state House candidates have run ads highlighting Clinton’s comments in March that she was going “to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business”. Meanwhile, reports suggest that former Republican President George W Bush and his wife, Laura, did not cast a vote for United States president but did vote for Republicans in down-ballot races.

Wall Street believes Hillary Clinton is the right leader for the US.
When Utah, a red state, reported problems, Trump pounced, tweeting “Just out according to @CNN: “Utah officials report voting machine problems across entire country”. Skarie also said she was frightened by the prospect of a Trump presidency.
