Kicker’s wife threatens Richard Sherman after questionable play
The first half of Seattle’s Monday night game against Buffalo ended about as chaotically and bizarrely as possible – with the Seahawks ultimately benefitting from some officiating confusion and maybe a little of their own gamesmanship. “But we got to find ways to overcome it”.
Seattle’s been the center of insane Monday night moments in the past.
The three points would come into play late in the game, when Buffalo, trailing by six, drove deep into Seattle territory, but couldn’t convert a fourth-and-goal.
Such as Buffalo’s first possession of the second half, which Sherman brought to an end with an interception in the end zone. As NFL Vice President of Officiating Dean Blandino noted during the game, Sherman’s call should have yielded an unnecessary roughness penalty for hitting Bills kicker Dan Carpenter. It was a ridiculous play, no question. In the hashtags Kaela added: “Lucky I’m Not There”, “Sherman” and “Act Like An Animal Get Treated Like 1”.
Ryan said. “He’s feeling better, and we all know he’s an excellent player when he’s healthy”. It was his third 100-yard receiving game of the season. He caught over 50 touchdown passes in a five-year span with the New Orleans Saints before he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks.
Also inactive for the Bills were quarterback Cardale Jones, offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson, center Patrick Lewis, tight end Gerald Christian and wide receiver Brandon Tate (concussion).
It was Taylor’s best day through the air with 289 passing yards to go with 43 on the ground. Jumps offside, roughs our kicker and then because we had to go out and attend to him, and it wasn’t called “roughing the kicker”, then we had to spike the ball so that we could come back in and kick.
Seattle scored on the first play of the 2nd quarter to tie the game at 14. “I was not aware that it was that far into the play clock”. “He was lights out”. Bills RB LeSean McCoy began the night averaging 110.7 scrimmage yards per game since the start of 2010, the most in the National Football League, and gained 60 yards in the first half.
That meant the 48-yard attempt should’ve been able to have gone off without having to clock the football with one second remaining.
Richard Sherman reaches for the ball as Dan Carpenter begins his field-goal attempt. He was offside and dove at our kickers’ leg while he was in motion.
Because the trainers took the field, Carpenter had to leave for one play. The Bills snapped the ball and Carpenter kicked a beauty right down the middle, but the refs flagged them for delay of game.
Buffalo exploded out of the blocks, containing the Seahawks to a three and out before blocking their punt attempt and rushing in a three-yard touchdown on the very next play.
Seattle coach Pete Carroll said he talked with Blandino immediately after the game to get an explanation.
Seattle stretched its lead to 31-25 with a 49-yard field goal by Steven Hauschka that capped an eight-play drive.
TERRIFIC TYROD: Taylor may have upstaged Wilson on a night both quarterbacks shined.
Sea-Wilson 3 run (Hauschka kick), 12:21. Russell Wilson hit TE Jimmy Graham on a TD pass that featured a nice one-handed grab.
