Powerball has drawn numbers for a $100 million prize.
Meanwhile, the Classic Lotto jackpot is now at $8.2 million after no tickets matched the winning numbers from Wednesday’s drawing.
Wednesday night’s numbers are 4-22-27-28-52 Powerball 35 Powerplay 3x. If you win a non-jackpot prize, your winnings can multiply by as much as five times.
Rea said he discovered the win when he returned to the St. Louis gas station where he purchased the ticket to see if he won anything. The budget projects $600 million in sales of scratch-off tickets and $369 million for draw games such as Pick 3 and Pick 4.
There were no jackpot winners in the last drawing on July 25, so the jackpot increased to a whopping $100 million. The numbers have a special significance to Rea as they are a combination of family birthdays. The estimated cash value option for tonight’s game is now $63.2 million. Sales climb rapidly once jackpots begin soaring into hundreds of millions of dollars.
Tickets are sold in 44 states: Washington, D.C.; Puerto Rico; and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Powerball and Mega Millions ticket sales fell, a trend tied to fewer monster jackpots during the year.
“I put it in there, and it said, ‘You won $70 million, ‘” Rea said. There are some states that do not tax lottery winnings, but the majority of them will take their share right away.
In Michigan more than 11,000 ticket holders won at least $4 each. A cost of living increase of 5 percent will be added to the 29 remaining payments.
