Immigrants demonstrate against Trump as protests continue
Anti-Trump protests have been taking place across the United States for the past two nights and authorities say they are expecting more on Saturday evening in Chicago, Illinois and Los Angeles, California.

Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s campaign manager, said on Fox News on Sunday that she was sure numerous protesters were paid professionals, though she offered no proof.
An 18-year-old Jennifer Cruz, 18, of Ventura, California participated in a protest in Los Angeles and said that her parents have in the United States illegally for nearly 30 years, however her mother has tried seeking citizenship several times but to no avail.

Protesters are upset about Trump’s policies on the environment; lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer (LGBTQ) rights; immigration and other issues.
Spray, who voted for Hillary Clinton in both the primary and general elections, says she has signed an online petition urging the Electoral College to elect Clinton. Though most protests have developed in a peaceful way, several arrests have been reported in some cities, while one person was shot in Portland during a confrontation on Friday night.
Protests in downtown Portland, in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, entered into the third day on Friday night.
In Los Angeles, about 150 people were arrested in a protest after they failed to disperse in the early hours of Saturday.
Thousands of accounts on Facebook have indicated interest in joining these protests. The arrests, according to the New York City Police Department, were around 7 p.m. mainly near Sixth Avenue between 46th to 50th streets. His injuries were not life-threatening, but his attacker is still at large.
The demonstrators marched up the prestigious Fifth Avenue under heavy police presence while chanting “Not my president!” as well as “Whose streets?” The suspect got out of the vehicle and fired multiple shots before fleeing. Some protesters began chanting threats including “Kill the Police”, and officers moved in to arrest seven demonstrators. Police earlier had tweeted that protesters were headed to the bridge, which spans the Willamette River in Portland. Police tried to contain the mob, using tear gas as protestors threw “burning projectiles” and vandalized property. The demonstrations Saturday night happened despite calls for calm from the city’s mayor and police chief.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus on Friday acknowledged the tight race with Clinton, but said anti-Trump protesters have to accept the election results. They gathered for a peaceful vigil on Portland’s waterfront at the Salmon Street Springs Fountain.
He said he hoped it would be the first of many such demonstrations.
