Tony Winners Featured in Fantastic Beasts Film, Opening Today
“Rowling said she’s exhausted of Harry Potter”. So, expect another magical journey into the wizarding world every two years for the next decade.
“The paid work has also given our students a taste of what it takes to be a professional”. Eddie Redmayne, a Tony victor for Red and a 2015 Oscar victor for The Theory of Everything, plays the lead, Newton Artemis Fido “Newt” Scamander, a graduate of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, who specializes in magical and supernatural animals. Presumably, this would achieve the main goal of the title of the series: His beasts, fantastic as they may be, are released around the city and he must attempt to find them.
I repeat: There are zero post-credits scenes attached to “Fantastic Beasts”.
J.K. Rowling, who wrote the screenplay for the first time in her career, reveals more of the magical world by taking us outside the confines of Hogwarts. “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” was the first of eight blockbuster films in the powerful fantasy franchise, threatening to out-perform all other contenders. Although the movie has numerous same themes, characters and spells of the Harry Potter world, some things are very different-mainly that the movie takes place in 1920s New York City.
We were invited to the global premiere of Fantastic Beasts last night, and long story short – go watch this film.
Percival Graves (Colin Farrell) is the right-hand man to President Picquery and leads the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
Johnny Depp, who is playing Gellert Grindelwald, will also appear.
“I’m very comfortable on this question (note: Dumbledore’s homosexuality) There is much to say about this relationship You will see a younger Dumbledore and disturbed We find ourselves in a period of training….as for her sexuality …”
Sure, you know the difference between a mandrake and a snitch. With the way he shoots, Yates tends to cast a grey “glow” over the whole film, kind of like a layer of grit you just can’t seem to wipe off. And while the film does feature a number of beasts who are featured in the book, including the Occamy, the Bowtruckle, and the Demiguise, the main focus of the film isn’t really about them.
