Turkey: New system would replace PM with vice presidents
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is in Pakistan on a two-day official visit on the invitation of President Mamnoon Hussain, addressed a joint session of the parliament for a third time on Thursday.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday urged Turkish entrepreneurs and businessmen to take advantage of Pakistan’s business-friendly climate and bring in investments in energy, infrastructure and agriculture sectors.
The teachers work for an education network known as the PakTurk International Schools and Colleges.

Turkish police detained the chief editor and at least 11 senior staff of Turkey’s opposition Cumhuriyet newspaper last week.
Under the latest draft presented to the MHP on Tuesday, Mr. Erdogan could assume the position of “acting” executive president immediately after the referendum, if the changes are approved.
“Initially funding was made from Turkey to establish state of art campuses in Pakistan”.
“Pakistan and Turkey agreed to develop a comprehensive, long-term and forward-looking framework for defence cooperation between the two countries besides broadening the frequency and scope of bilateral consultations on foreign ministers”, the communiqué added.

The Turkish president is also expected to travel to Lahore, where Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will host a banquet in the honour of visiting dignity at the Shahi Fort. It denies links to Gulen’s movement.
Since the coup attempt July 15, the iShares MSCI Turkey exchange-traded fund (TUR) had slipped 20% through Wednesday’s close, while the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (EEM) was down 3%.
100 Turkish teachers from 28 Chain International Schools in Pakistan have been ordered to evacuate the country.
Erdogan also expressed his aspiration to expand multidimensional relations with Islamabad in various fields, including defense, culture, education, and health.
He thanked Islamabad for its “solidarity”, and promised PakTurk students would be cared for at “the highest standards”. In the eastern city of Lahore, hundreds of students blocked a main road to protest the expulsion orders, said Pakistani police officer Adnan Naseer.
