Rams QB Keenum “Wasn’t Happy” With Decision To Promote Goff

Los Angeles coach Jeff Fisher commented on Goff’s progression, per Myles Simmons of the Rams’ official website: “He’s ready, he’s preparing, and doing well”.

Britney is a huge Saints fan, but you have to think that it’s only a matter of time before her kids convince her to dump the Saints and start cheering for the Rams.

“It don’t want to say it’s a new era, it’s a new start, but in a lot of ways it is”, Fisher declared Tuesday. The Rams (4-5) were held without an offensive touchdown for the third time this season in a 9-6 victory over the Jets in NY last week.

The Los Angeles Rams have officially named rookie quarterback Jared Goff their starter. “Dak Prescott, and what he’s done, he’s earned the right to be our quarterback”, Romo said in a prepared statement.

It remains to be seen how well Goff will perform, but at this point no one expects him to be worse than Keenum.

But the Rams can no longer afford to move forward with Keenum and a lackluster offense when Goff, a player the franchise invested so much in to draft, sits on the bench.

On day when singer Britney Spears attended practice, Goff took first-team snaps as the No. 1 quarterback for the first time.

“He’s No. 2, and he’s a play away from playing”, Fisher told Rams reporters.

That growth was exemplified two weeks ago during a practice in which Goff got the majority of reps with the first-team offense and by all accounts dominated the afternoon. The Rams’ offense under Keenum has been one of the worst in the NFL.

“No”, Keenum said, “that’s Coach Fisher”.

“It was just Jared’s progress, and the progression week, after week, after week”, Fisher said. If Goff doesn’t get out there sooner than latter he will start to lose his confidence.

“We don’t have to reduce anything and we talked as a staff last night about that”, Fisher said.

Now, the real question: After replacing Case Keenum, how ready will Goff look against the Dolphins on Sunday? “But I thought I [gave] my team [a] chance to win”.

“They’ll do what most defenses do – they’ll switch up their coverages, kind of disguise things, bring unique blitzes, stuff the young guy isn’t used to seeing”, Brockers said. “It’s my offense, and I took ownership of it”.

Maybe Goff would have made the difference.

Fisher sounded a note of caution about evaluating Goff too quickly. “I felt like this was the best time to go ahead and turn the keys over to Jared”.

“It really could have gone either way”, said Djokovic, who completed a career Grand Slam by winning the French Open this year. Obviously, we didn’t win, and there’s a lot of games that we’d like back and feel like we should have won, but it’s kind of across the league.

“There’s gonna be some things that he’s not going to be able to see that we have to find ourselves”.
