‘Fallout 4’ PS4 Mods Are Finally Live With Update 1.8
Unlike its PC and Xbox One counterparts, the PS4 mods can only utilize internal game assets. Bethesda has announced that update 1.8 will arrive on consoles later this week, bringing the glorious world of mods with it. However, gamers who play the video game on the PS4 shouldn’t have to wait much longer as new reports are coming in that “Fallout 4” mods will be released for the console very soon.
With Skyrim: Special Edition out in the wild and now Fallout 4 getting what many consider to be the final major update, Bethesda can turn its attention back to what lies ahead. The Sony PS4 Pro joined by the less exciting new PlayStation 4 Slim.
Mod support for the PS4 has had a bit of an eventful journey.
Bethesda today announced that Fallout 4’s highly anticipated PS4 mods are now live.
Mod support for Fallout 4 will finally be released for PlayStation 4 this week.
In a post on Twitter, Hines added that PS4 mods will only use the files that come with the game and its DLC.
Bethesda have also explained more about how modding works on PS4 for both games. To note, “Fallout 4” mods are available on the Xbox One and the PC version of the game.
Mod category and favorites not being displayed correctly issue has been fixed. Still, there are bound to be some of you still exploring the Wasteland out there, and if you’re looking to spice that up a bit mods are going to be the ideal distraction.
Moreover, another issue fixed in version 1.8 relating to queries on Mods search involving spaces has been resolved.
Other changes Bethesda made to Fallout 4 include players can now only rate Mods after downloading finishes, and Sentry Bot firing dual Gatling Lasers can’t cut the audio out anymore.
