Wenger gets more respect than me – Mourinho
Last season presented the best opportunity for the club to have won the league and now they’re in the same form and position where they can design their own destiny.

Wenger was quick to dismiss the idea that Arsenal have a mental block about playing at United.
Jose Mourinho has underlined his ambition to win the Premier League title with Manchester United.
“I learnt since I was a kid, since school, if someone lends me something, I have to take care even better than if it was mine”.
Santi Cazorla has suggested that he will not be ready for Arsenal’s trip to Manchester United this weekend.
“Tomorrow, I think between the two managers we are speaking about, I think (there are) six or seven Premier League titles”.
From Ryan Giggs’ famous solo goal and hairy-chested celebration, to Martin Keown manhandling Ruud van Nistelrooy, to “the Battle of the Buffet” (an incident which culminated in Alex Ferguson being hit in the face with a slice of pizza), Manchester United vs. Arsenal never failed to create theater.
“I get the occasion to wish Gary the best of luck publicly, but I think you have to build something to protect what is not yours, what someone lends you”.
“Sometimes they come back stronger than when they left us, because something good happened there, something positive for them, good performances, good results”.
Wenger confirmed he would offer to shake Mourinho’s hand, a traditional which has not always been upheld by the rivals, and believes audiences will only be tuning in to see two teams fighting out for three crucial points.
Wenger said that the global fan has access to so much football that the Premier League must be entertaining or it will lose viewers. “I put the level so high that people don’t expect anything different”, he added.
“These are big matches and, honestly, in spite of being very unlucky at home – because I don’t remember being as unlucky as we were against Stoke and Burnley – I love to play at Old Trafford. I think I have won against every manager in the world during my 20 years here and I do not make of this game a competition between two managers”. I won in Europe. A win will not only send Arsenal top of the league – even if temporarily – it will be the Frenchman’s first win over his Portuguese competitor. “I don’t play against managers”. Nobody is saying that.
“What happened with the national team, happened with national team”.
“Maybe I should be proud of it because maybe it’s my fault”. “That is not important really”. Some records are better than others but in the end a football match is an isolated event, nothing to do with what happened before or what can happen in the future.
“Something that has changed in the last five years is that the audience test the game and the quality of what they see”, Wenger explained.
