Most Americans plan to skip Thanksgiving Day sales

Black Friday is the one day Apple discounts its products. The retailers are playing along by focusing on online deals only during the holiday. But Best Buy deals include $30 of select Fire tablets, like the Fire HD8.

Citing an International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) study, Lebovitz said only 11 percent of people shop on Thanksgiving, while 80 percent shop Big Friday.
