Sanders wants Trump to apologize for rhetoric

Sanders tries to excuse that by claiming to be honoring the terms of his election to the Senate, but he didn’t have a problem changing his affiliation when it came to running for the Democratic nomination.

And given that Trump won votes from voters who not only viewed him unfavorably, but thought he was merely the lesser of two evils from an unpopular slate of candidates, that in no way guarantees that these same voters would stick by him – or the GOP – in 2020. Sanders reminded the crowd. “They see Washington simply as a place of people not like them-just different, and elite, and Jewish, and gay”.

“I will not compromise with racism, and I will not compromise with sexism, and I will not compromise with homophobia, and I will not compromise with Islamophobia”, Mr. Sanders said.
