Prescott, Cowboys beat Ravens 27-17 for 9th straight win

The folks in attendance probably left in the best mood of their lives, because not only did they get to leave full of the spirit of the lord, but the Cowboys moved to 9-1 on the season thanks to their 27-17 win.

The Cowboys defense played better in the second half as it sacked Ravens QB Joe Flacco and was able to force a few three and outs.

Shortly after wrapping up today’s win over the Ravens, the Cowboys posted a short video to social media called “Breakfast Club”, featuring a number of the team’s top players, well, eating breakfast. “It was a great win”. The two hooked up for two touchdowns, while Bryant had six catches for 80 yards overall. Two touchdown passes to Dez Bryant and another to Cole Beasley did in the Ravens.

So in the end, everybody eats.

“Our eyes go to next week against Cincinnati at home, six-game season, and we need to take care of our business”, Harbaugh said.

But it wasn’t all fun and games.

Prescott and Elliott remain at the top of the offensive rookie of the year race, and both are still competing for the NFL MVP, too.

They pounded out a hard 118 yards rushing against the Ravens’ No. 1-ranked run defense, which was giving up fewer than 72 yards per game.

Not going down without a fight, the Ravens made it interesting when they came right back with an 8-play, 75-yard drive of their own. It was only Prescott’s second time to throw over the 300-yard mark in his young career.

Overall the Ravens surrendered 130 penalty yards and lost time of possession by nearly ten minutes.

When the Ravens are facing first-and-15 or first-and-20, they might as well punt. NY struggled to stop Bears running back Jordan Howard, who rushed for 72 yards on 12 carries in the first half while quarterback Jay Cutler completed 11 of 14 passes in the half for 126 yards and one touchdown. On third-and-6, Prescott hit Brice Butler for a 41-yard pass to get inside the red zone. Let’s just chip away at this. Prescott and Bryant, frequently working on Wright, connected for 16 and 26 yards, putting Dan Bailey in position for a 30-yard field goal that tied the game just before halftime. The only thing that wasn’t in their favor was the score as the two teams went into the locker room deadlocked at 10. “His decision making was outstanding as the game wore on”.

With two straight possessions putting points on the board to end the first half, the Cowboys extended that run to five consecutive in the second half.

In the late game, Kirk Cousins threw three touchdown passes and for 375 yards as the Washington Redskins secured a 42-24 victory over the Green Bay Packers.

In reality, the Cowboys – 27-17 winners over a Baltimore team that boasts the NFL’s best defense – is only looking forward to just how special this record-setting team might be. He made a number of terrific catches and plays after the catch on the way to 99 yards and a touchdown on eight catches.
