Strong winds, much colder and a few rain/snow showers today
Below is my recap from 518 AM this morning with my updated snow total map.
Today’s National Weather Service forecast: Snow showers, with areas of blowing snow. The next low pressure system with a cold front arrives with rain. Other portions of Central and Western Connecticut remain in a “severe” drought. A coating to an inch or two may accumulate in spots. Snow showers. High: 33 Wednesday. It will add up in the higher elevations.
On/off snow showers, gusty winds.
Friday’s shopping weather will be dry and chilly with daytime temps in the 40s. Lows 24-29. West wind 10-15 miles per hour.
The Harrisburg area could also see a dusting of snow on Sunday – but nothing like our neighbors to the north and west are seeing. Windy and much cooler. Wintry mix. High: 41 Saturday. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Lows should settle around 46 degrees.
Monday: Sun & clouds, scattered snow showers/flurries. Highs in the mid 30’s.
Mon: High: 57 Low: 36 Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 40s.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 47.
A storm system will be moving through MI the day before Thanksgiving 2016. Highs staying steady into the upper 30’s and 40’s.
Friday: A chance of rain and snow showers.
The storm has the potential to cause travel disruptions by the middle of the week in major hubs such as Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Detroit, Cincinnati, Nashville, Atlanta and New Orleans. Temperatures will drop solidly into the 20s.
