Bears’ Jay Cutler Reportedly Could Miss the Rest of the Season

The Bears are dealing with so many injuries especially on the Defense. The club plays four of its final six games at home and is in prime position to play spoiler. He’s eligible to return to the team on December 18 against the Packers. At that point in the game, besieged by injuries, it seemed as if Chicago would have a better chance of finding the end zone on an interception or fumble return than on offense.

Right or wrong, injuries and suspensions are perceived by National Football League front offices as a part of the game that is out of the control of the head coach. Unfortunately for Hoyer, he broke his arm in Week 7. In the first half, they struggled to contain Jordan Howard, who had 72 yards on 12 carries in the first half, a fair number of those runs coming to the left side. He was 6 of 15 for 81 yards and 2 interceptions in that game, and quite frankly, he looked bad.

“Every game has been a little different; they’ve all been close, they’ve all come down to the last series”, Manning said. Even though they pressured Andrew Luck on 47 percent of his dropbacks, the hosts’ first 24 plays resulted in 219 yards and 21 points. That’s especially so for a team in the midst of a multi-season rebuild, like the Bears. He suffered a frightening neck injury after going head-first into the thigh of a teammate this past Sunday.

The rookie head coach asked each of his players to get up out of his seat and move to another – did not matter where – and the plea was expectedly met with a few puzzled looks. He has never played in the regular season for either team.

The Chicago Bears is officially one of the worst team in the NFL. They were injured in the last two weeks filling in for Justin Pugh (knee) at left guard. Certainly not Dowell Loggains, who was promoted to the offensive coordinator position when Gase left, largely, if not exclusively, because of his relationship with Cutler.

Cutler previously missed time this season after suffering a thumb injury in Week 2.

McAdoo has also done his best to keep the players on edge. Each of them bring certain benefits, drawbacks and realities to the organization that must be considered carefully.

What can they all be without Cutler?
