The unusual episode occurred after freakish behavior observed during his tour, which has been canceled as a result of the hospitalization.
Paramedics were called to Kanye’s home at around 1:20pm on Monday when the rapper was suffering “severe sleep deprivation”, and decided he needed to be admitted.
Kanye has arguably never been the same since the death of his mother, Donda, who passed away after undergoing a number of cosmetic procedures that the rapper funded back in 2007.
It’s been a hectic year for Kanye West.
“He’s a notorious workaholic, so balancing both that work – which is extremely important to him – and the rigors of the tour every night, it really wore him out”.
Speaking to ET before the news, the rapper’s former protege Legend said of West’s decision to cancel his tour: “I’m not gonna speak out of term and speak for him”. “He feels like he’s under spiritual attack, and has been for awhile”.
He canceled several dates the following week but made a comeback in his hometown, Chicago, and performed without incident until a show in Oakland on October 22 where he described the Grammys as “rigged”.
Maybe Kanye stopped his auto for a selfie because he felt bad that he’d performed for just half an hour in Sacramento, and ended with an extended rant about Beyonce and Jay Z.
However, while West has always been a controversial figure who has drawn his fair share of criticism, now is perhaps not the right time for judgment. All of that is fine. He’s dealing with a lot more subtle issues. “He’s had a grueling tour and it’s been a grind so he just needs some rest”. “Mental healing is a serious thing, no matter what”.
Trump would also feature in the lead-up to West’s hospitalization.
Since news of West’s unknown illness broke, celebrities have been tweeting him their well wishes and calling for compassion from the people who are making jokes about the situation.
