Kanye West hospitalized in Los Angeles
News outlets reported the decision was made for West’s “own health and safety”.
West was handcuffed to the gurney (which they say is protocol when transferring a psych patient) and transferred to UCLA. According to the media outlet, Dr Farzam told police that his patient’s name was “Jim Jones” and that he suffered from “temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration”.
On Monday night, West was reportedly admitted to an LA area medical center following a series of weird rants during his Saint Pablo Tour. Shortly after news of West’s hospitalization broke, his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, told Entertainment Tonight, “I think he’s exhausted”. A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said his department then transported a “medically stable” adult male from a residence to a hospital for assessment.
Kardashian, 36, was slated to tour with her husband, but became reclusive after she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris last month. The reality star was reportedly against the tour in the first place and wanted her husband to be with her while she recovers from her traumatic experience in Paris.
“The guy just needs some rest”, another source reveals, adding that the rapper is suffering from sleep deprivation and exhaustion.
On Sunday, West canceled a scheduled 8 p.m. concert at the Forum with about three hours notice. “He’s been working around the clock on fashion design… balancing both that work and the rigours of the tour every night. really wore him out”. His agency, Live Nation, announced that tickets for the concert will be refunded.
West only performed two songs – one of which a fan said was repeated – and abruptly walked off stage. West was booed at a concert last week for admitting that he would have voted for Donald Trump. Jay Z, I know you got killers. “Just call me. Talk to me like a man”, he said.
“We were with Kim actually, you know, right before all of that”, the fellow musician and friend told USA television, referring to Kanye’s hospitalization.
Others to send messages of support to Kanye included Janelle Monae, Marlon Wayans and actor Emile Hirsch.
