Rainy weather prompts Birmingham to postpone tree lighting
The tree lighting is presented by the Western Property Owners Association. The town will light its Christmas tree at 8 p.m. on Town Square at the corner of Fayetteville and Main Streets. 10 a.m.to dusk November 24-27, December 3-4, 10-11, 17-18; by appointment during the week.

Bethlehem: The city’s annual tree-lighting ceremony is set for November 25.
Also joining the march will be McCaffrey’s Food Markets, members of the Yardley Borough Council and the Lower Makefield Board of Supervisors along with local veterans, community organizations, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Hutch Hamilton and his Belgian horses, the Yardley Borough Police Department, the Yardley-Makefield Emergency Unit and the Yardley-Makefield Fire Company.

Carnesville will light its tree December 1 at 6 p.m.at Carnesville City Park. Wreath and garland making from IN produced greens starts just as the first customers arrive.
The Howell Theatre will show free screenings of “Polar Express”, “Elf” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. Entertainment, ornament-making and more activities are planned.
From Dec. 1 through Dec. 20, businesses can take part by hosting a toy collection box or a “Giving Tree”. “It’s a great spot to meet people because generally, people are excited around Christmastime, they’re there with their families, so you get to see people at their best … and we get to meet really cool people that we have never met before”.
Autumn Hill Nursery is at 4256 Earney Road in Woodstock is open from 9 a.m.to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.to 5 p.m.
On Friday, local organizations will begin selling refreshments at 4 p.m. outside Church of the Holy Trinity, 381 Main St., and the Middlesex Chamber. Carolers, crafts, coffee, hot chocolate along with Santa will be a part of the tree lighting.
The tree will be on display until 9 p.m. on January 7, 2017. Pennsylvania Performing Arts Academy will entertain.
