Tom Cruise Has An Idea For An Edge of Tomorrow Sequel

If Cruise is correct, this would suggest Paramount Pictures has already green-lit a sequel before the success of Rogue Nation has been proven at the box office. Perhaps the smartest strategy producer/star Tom Cruise and his collaborators have taken with the series is to hand each edition to a different director with a clear vision, making this a uniquely auteur-driven franchise, even as it maintains its internal continuity and stylistic consistency.

It has been almost 20 years since the first Mission:Impossible film came out, and Cruise said that while he now maybe older, he keeps pushing himself.

Cruise told Reuter at the London premiere of his film “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation” Saturday night that Top Gun 2 would be fun and that he would definitely like to get back into those jets.

The over-punctuated “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” opens Friday, the fifth movie in the “M:I” franchise. His repetition of the line “I can neither confirm nor deny…’ during questioning by Baldwin’s uptight Hunley is so simple yet effective, while on another occasion his sarcastic muttering of ‘I am so proud of us” is the highlight of the scene.

McQuarrie and Liman were both involved in the original film. Reported by Cruise, the film could start production as early as next year. “Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with disavowed British agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), who may or may not be a member of this rogue nation, as the group faces their most impossible mission yet”.

Two filmmakers also added they had focused on keeping the plotline of “Rogue Nation” logical, which is rarely true of franchises that rely heavily on action sequences. Within 30 minutes of leaving the theater, you won’t remember why Hunt and his familiar crew (Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner and Ving Rhames) had to travel to Havana or Morocco or Minsk in order to advance the plot.

Of course, as we sat in Vienna, talking about the film, Pegg said he was “much, much happier” being costumed for his big scenes at the State Opera House.

Cruise and McQuarrie were scheduled to hold a red carpet event on Thursday evening at Lotte World Mall in eastern Seoul.
