Cardinals coach Bruce Arians reportedly hospitalized with chest pains
The fourth-year player, drafted by the Vikings in the first round out of Florida State with the selection they received from Seattle in the trade for wide receiver Percy Harvin, is tied for fourth in the National Football League with four interceptions.
The 64-year-old coach is a prostate cancer survivor and was hospitalized earlier this year when he was diagnosed with diverticulitis, an inflammation or infection of the digestive tract. At the end of the day, sometimes you’ve got to want it more than the other guys, and hats off to Arizona.
“All tests conducted so far have come back favorably”, the Cardinals said in the statement.
As for what exactly transpired, Arians said that would stay between he and his wife, Christine. Part of that was due to them losing 43 yards on sacks in the second half, meaning Palmer finished with only 2 net passing yards in the final 30 minutes.
“This week coach said to play our defense, be aggressive and go out there and tackle”. The last thing he said to me was we need a win this weekend. Arians said five of the Cardinals’ core special teams players are injured.
-New England Patriots defensive tackle Alan Branch was suspended four games for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The 2013 first-round draft choice went through a 20-game stretch from 2015 into this season where he had just four catches for 24 yards. He was a healthy scratch the past two weeks.
“No”, Arians said. “D.J. worked harder”.
The Vikings improved to 6-4 while the Cards dipped to 4-5-1 and are now three games behind the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West. One is to look at three players who have exceeded expectations and three who haven’t lived up to what was expected of them.
Furthermore, Arians should be ready to return to the sidelines Sunday against the Falcons in Atlanta.
Bradford took the incident in stride, saying, “If we get 15 yards, I’ll take it every time”.
Mathieu wasn’t quite that optimistic. “Even going back to my rookie year, some of the concepts that me and (offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur) have run together, the ball comes out pretty quick. If I continue to progress well and everything’s OK, I’ll be out there Sunday”.
