Black Friday sales 68% higher than normal weekend

Get in line early: Some stores will open as early as Thursday afternoon, and many steadfast shoppers will start getting in line for other stores six to eight hours before they open.

Some of the highlights in Best Buy Black Friday 2016 sales include 4K HDR TVs and a $125 discounts on all models of Apple’s 9.7-inch iPad Pro and iPad Air 2 tablets.

Previous year the bulk of shoppers got a jump on their holiday shopping on Black Friday (73 percent), while about a third (34 percent) said they shopped on Thanksgiving Day, according to NRF. Most of those shoppers will be 18 to 34 years old.
Numerous nation’s mall operators and the big retailers that anchor them, such as J.C. Penney and Macy’s, are sticking with what they would like to see established as a new Thanksgiving tradition. While this may not be such a big deal, there have been numerous deaths and injuries linked to Black Friday shopping crowds.
Black Friday mania is shifting as young consumers move their holiday deal shopping online, but it could still be the biggest shopping day of the year. Walgreens opens at 8 a.m. Many (but not all) Walmarts are already open 24 hours a day anyway, so it won’t be a big departure for a lot of these supercenters.
Experts say whether you’re shopping online or in the stores, make sure you’ve done your research before you get overwhelmed with what seems like a great deal at the time. All those stores discount their items by at least 40 percent and up to 64 percent, according to WalletHub. Target has not listed that information yet. You’ll probably receive it earlier too, as ordering on Black Friday means retailers will have a huge number of sales to work through.
