Romney meets with Trump, no word on possible role in administration
Mitt Romney is under “serious” consideration to serve his one-time nemesis, Donald Trump, after a successful meeting over the weekend, according to the vice president elect. Since Election Day, he has twice ditched the group of reporters designated to follow his movements and has so far eschewed the traditional news conference held by the president-elect in the days after winning.
In March, during the Republican primary race, Romney said Trump had neither “the temperament nor the judgement to be president”, accusing him of bullying, misogyny and dishonesty.
Trump said during the campaign that Clinton would “be in jail” if he were president, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation director has declared on two occasions there is no evidence warranting charges over her use of a private email account.
His transition team said former Texas governor and GOP presidential rival Rick Perry was expected to meet with Trump on Monday.
Top Trump aide Kellyanne Conway said Tuesday on MSNBC that Trump would not appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton’s emails or family foundation. In this case, Giuliani was effectively arguing that President Trump can’t break laws pertaining to conflicts of interest because the president is above those laws.

President-elect Donald Trump will spend Thanksgiving at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. He is expected to fly there either Tuesday or Wednesday, while Vice president-elect Mike Pence will spend Thanksgiving in MS, where his Marine son is stationed.

Meanwhile, conservative broadcaster Laura Ingraham confirmed on Fox News Sunday she’s still being considered for White House press secretary. But Trump has been promising to unite the country around his presidency, saying repeatedly he will be president of “all Americans”. Trump later tweeted that he meeting was back on and he was looking “forward to it”.
Mr Trump also complained that Saturday Night Live, which thrives on making fun of politicians, is “biased” and not amusing.
Other highlights include Mr. Trump reaching an agreement with Ford Motors on production of their Lincoln SUV.
Formerly Trump’s campaign manager, Conway said the transition can’t be rushed, because there’s a “very long short list” for each position in the president-elect’s Cabinet and other key roles.
