Clinton leads Trump by over two million in popular vote

But this is under the state’s threshold for an automatic recount, which is 2,000 votes. But that’s not true in the presidential election.

The underlying idea is that a mass defection of electors could provide the impetus for a wave of changes to the Electoral College.
