Ohio State remains at No
MI (10-1) stayed at No. 3, setting up a No. 2 vs. Wisconsin and Penn State have each strength of schedule rankings better than every team in the projected CFP top four with the exception of Ohio State, who has played the nation’s 18th-most hard schedule.
Colorado (9-2), a victor over Washington State (8-3) Saturday, moved up one spot to No. 9.
Oklahoma State is ranked fifth among teams with two losses.
Ohio State is ranked No. 2 heading into Saturday’s game against No. 3 MI.
The upcoming week’s games will have big implications on the Pac-12 standings, with the victor of the Washington-Washington State game representing the North in the Pac-12 Championship game the following week.
The obvious hitch is that No. 2 and No. 3 play each other this week in what appears to be an elimination game in Columbus.
The CFP revealed their fourth ranking Tuesday afternoon, moving the Trojans up one spot to No. 12 thanks to Utah’s drop from that spot to No. 22 after losing to Oregon. 5 Louisville’s 36-10 loss to Houston last week.

That would likely knock the Buckeyes, who would be 10-2 with no shot at a conference title, out of the race. With a win, they project the Sooners have a 71 percent chance to be ranked No. 4 at the end of the year. Maybe the best thing to do to avoid complications is make a 6-team playoff, with five conference champions and one at-large bid. Boise State closes its season at Air Foce (8-3). We see a very talented Oklahoma State team who’s won seven football games in a row. MI came in third and Clemson fourth.
Washington climbed back to No. 5 despite its loss to USC less than two weeks ago, and Wisconsin climbed to No. 6. With the only Bad Loss coming against Penn State. Oklahoma (9-2) 9. Colorado (9-2) 10. OU was ranked No. 9 and Oklahoma State was ranked No. 11 last week. Will the Buckeyes prove to be too strong once again and notch their 12th win in their last 13 matchups? The Cardinals have two losses but a relatively weak schedule, propping Louisville up is a blowout of #14 Florida State and a narrow defeat at #4 Clemson.
