One more Kinnick moment, that’s all the 14 seniors on the Iowa football team want to get out of Friday’s regular-season finale against Nebraska. Minnesota won the last meeting between the two teams, 3-0, in Madison, Wis. (Oct. 12). But there’s a chance that Wisconsin will need a win to secure the Big Ten West division title and a trip to the league championship game. That’s their only defeat in 11 games this season. Minnesota has won five of its last six games. Senior LeShun Daniels Jr. and junior Akrum Wadley are taking turns leading the Hawkeyes in rushing. Iowa has had to lean on its defense because its offense is 121st nationally with just 326.5 yards per game.
STILL SIDELINED: Offensive lineman Cole Croston and defensive back Greg Mabin are expected to miss their Senior Day game because of injuries. They couldn’t keep Nebraska down for long as they scored three consecutive points to bring the set close again at 16-13.
“Those are things that you remember, ” Iowa quarterback C.J. Beathard said. Nebraska has racked up 16 interceptions on the season, including five from Fresno State transfer Keyan Williams.
NU bowed up and forced Iowa to a field goal, only to have Nate Gerry bump into the kicker, allowing the Hawkeyes a free first down.

Nebraska’s 14-match overall winning streak and 17-match road winning streak were erased at the hands of the Gophers, who kept their hopes of sharing the Big Ten title alive.
And so the Big Ten title will come down to the final night of the season, which is what you nearly expect in this league.
