Donald Trump eases up on climate change but is still defiant

Despite trailing in the popular vote, Trump won the White House with 290 electoral votes to Clinton’s 232.
They are more likely to innately understand that new, burdensome rules imposed by a far-off and disconnected government in Washington – likely staffed with people who grew up in populated areas and went to the best colleges – have little understanding for their line of work.
Secretary of State spokesman Fred Woodhams said previously it is highly unlikely enough votes would shift to affect the outcome of a Trump victory.
There are still a few million ballots left to count, and they’re expected to be disproportionately for Clinton. Clinton racked up a 21 percent lead in NY and a 28 percent – 3 million vote – lead in California, but Trump eked out 1 percent margins in Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.
We have become so accustomed to a two-party system that we easily ignore another substantial flaw in a popular vote system.
Some of Donald Trump’s strongest conservative supporters are voicing anger and disappointment at the president-elect’s comments on Tuesday that he might back off his campaign pledge of pursuing a prosecution of former rival Hillary Clinton. Now, a group of voting rights activists is calling on Clinton to challenger election results in three states that decided the election. The Constitution doesn’t say anything about when the electors vote, only that they must “meet in their respective states”. This may have cost Clinton 30,000 votes – over the margin of her loss in the state. It’s possible they might have some good ideas.

President-elect Donald Trump appears to be softening his tone on whether climate change is real and on his stated plans to scrap the recent multinational agreement to limit carbon emissions. The answer is – we don’t, until it happens.

I don’t think we should treat this as the apocalypse, the way the media will have you click-baited into believing. The Electoral College was viewed as a way to stop the public from electing what the plutocracy might deem as an unqualified candidate. In many cases, the clerks were adding votes for Trump and Clinton.

But at least six Democratic electors are trying to deny Trump from winning an Electoral College majority in an attempt to block Trump and undermine the Electoral College’s legitimacy.
