‘Trap Queen’ rapper Fetty Wap matches Eminem
The Kansas City Royals players have reportedly been dropping the numbers 17 and 38 into interviews because 1738 is a term Fetty Wap used in his song “Trap Queen” to represent his “squad in New Jersey: the Remy Boyz 178″. This has made him match the previous records set by Eminem, 42, and Lil Wayne, 32.
“Despite Future and Meek Mill’s dominance on the Billboard 200, Fetty Wap has dominated the Billboard 100, with his three hits, ‘Trap Queen, ‘ ‘679, ‘ and ‘My Way’ all charting in the Top 20 this week”, reported The Source.
Drake also had two top 10 singles at the same time on the chart on April 6, 2013 with “Started From the Bottom” and “Love Me”. Omi’s “Cheerleader” takes the pole position, followed by The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” at #2 and Silento’s “Watch Me” at #3.
Royals center fielder Lorenzo Cain, one of the more creative 1738 droppers and believed to be the originator of the challenge, has adopted “Trap Queen” as his walk-up song, further demonstrating the team’s affinity for the catchy song.
Sometimes it can be a bit boring when you’re dominating your respective league, but Kansas City is having a heck of a time doing so, even bringing the jubilance to the clubhouse for postgam interviews with the media.
