Third Android Nougat beta build rolls out to Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge
Observers believe that since HTC has been Google’s partner with the Pixel and Pixel XL flagships, the Android Nougat version for the tech maker will be as bloat-free and closer to the stock ROM as possible.
Samsung Electronics is offering Galaxy users the opportunity to experience the new features of the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system ahead of its launch through the Galaxy Beta Program. Samsung is expected to roll out the official update for Galaxy S7 anytime around the first few weeks of December. This will also lead the users to receive air updates about the new OS. We certainly hope that’s the case, because as we all know carrier-bound phones are a bit tricky when it comes to updates. The S7 defaults to 1080p and we’re now on the second beta build.
Are you going to participate in the beta program?
A more recent report from Team Android shared another custom ROM based on Android Nougat OS that is compatible with the same S7 Edge model.
These are some of the general feature of Android Nougat. “I noticed that Samsung released the Nougat beta to certain countries”. So Moto Z and Moto Z Force users don’t have to wait any longer.
Samsung is now implementing the Galaxy Beta Program for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge units located in the USA, U.K., China and South Korea. It noted the following. Samsung also recommends S7 and S7 Edge beta testers to have a backup of important files since data loss could possibly happen in certain situations during beta testing.
Nougat is also bringing improvements to multi-window mode, allowing you to have more than two windows open at once, and more easily adjust the size of windows.
In the new update there is also a updated driver for the fingerprint sensor, new versions of Xperia Home and Xperia Transfer will be added too. Having said that, the Android Nougat update on the HTC 10 will come with HTC’s Sense UI on top which may not bring all the features of the new update.
