Yes, it was a tie, but it combined everything both fun and infuriating about college football into one game: a classic battle that made everyone made through off-the-field arguing.

Of course, nothing is set in stone just yet, and it remains to be seen if the victor of this contest will go on to play on the biggest stage.

Ohio State players and coaches will watch the Big Ten Championship on TV like everybody else Saturday night, knowing that the committee could choose to move the victor into the top four and bump the Buckeyes outside.

The scenario also puts the playoff committee in the unprecedented position of possibly putting a team among the top four that won’t have a conference championship on its resume. Now that’s the real question.
