Apple Joining Black Friday Sales Frenzy
However, that changed a few hours ago, as Apple placed a special teaser page on its website that says Black Friday deals are coming.
While many brands regularly take part in the shopping craziness that is Black Friday, there are quite a number of brands who do not participate every year. Even though Apple Inc. might not have a reputation of offering large discounts on its products for Black Friday, the Cupertino-based company does offer gift cards to celebrate the occasion. You’ll have to purchase your new Apple product at full retail and you’ll get yourself a nice Apple gift card for a future purchase. These deals could save up as much as US$149. But hurry up though, as many locations are offering discounts on limited stock only. Best Buy (BBY) is offering gift cards of $100 to $250 depending on the model of iPhone 7 purchased.
What remains to be seen is whether brand new products, like the fairly controversial new MacBook Pro, will get a cut come Friday. Further, iPhone 7 buyers (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint) will receive a $250 gift card. Best Buy, for instance, is selling the 13-inch MacBook Air at a discounted rate of $999. The 9.7-inch model of iPad Pro is available for $599.
The iPad mini 4 is available for $399 for the 32GB Wi-Fi model.
Apple announced on their website that they will be participating in the Black Friday Sale 2016.
While Apple used to go big on Black Friday, the company dialed things back considerably in years past. The older generations of the MacBook and MacBook Air will be sold along with US$150 gift cards.
“Best Buy is offering a major $200 discount on the 27” 5K Retina iMac, which is powered by a 3.2GHz Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM.
