Adobe research said online shopping not only eclipsed the $5 billion mark for Thanksgiving and Black Friday, but told Fortune that US online sales from Thursday to Saturday rose 17.3% to $7.23 billion. Online sales on Black Friday surged 21.6% from past year to a record $3.34 billion, Adobe reported.

Black Friday 2016’s reign as the biggest U.S. online sales day ever didn’t last very long.

But this increase in number is noteworthy because customers have already had their time of shopping during Black Friday, which saw 108.5 million buyers online with Walmart and Amazon as top gainers. That’s compared to a year ago, when shoppers were more evenly split, with 103 million browsing online and 102 million in stores. This holiday season, Amazon’s most-watched deal is the Mermaid Tail Blanket.

“You’re gonna see more retailers putting together strategies that converge both the online shopping and the physical store shopping”, said RetailNext spokesperson, Shelley Kohan. “We prefer that to going to the stores”, said one shopper. You could also go and collect the items in store the same day as purchase.

According to Adobe Digital Insights, it is expected to be the largest online shopping day in history.

“Because Cyber Monday is no longer about the connection, it’s just another sales day that I can plan for, like a Labor Day sale or Fourth of July sale”, said Gartner analyst Gene Alvarez. The reason for this spike in online sales on Monday rather than during the weekend was that many consumers only had access to high-speed internet at work.
