OSU Suspect Dead, 8 Injured In Shooting
ALL classes are canceled on Columbus campus for the remainder of the day.
The shelter in place has been lifted. There has been no news on the identities of the victims or the shooter, although the shooter has been reported dead by multiple outlets.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSAZ) – According to the Ohio State University twitter account, the shelter in place has been lifted and the scene is now secure.
In his interview with The Lantern, Artan said he was in his third year studying logistics management and had just transferred to OSU from Columbus State Community College. Nine victims are now being treated.
Earlier, hospital officials said that eight people had non-life-threatening injuries.
Nine people were injured, including one critically.
Columbus Ohio Police said that SWAT, K-9 units, negotiators and a helicopter unit were on the scene, with OSU Police taking the lead in the situation.
Local media outlets are reporting that seven of those taken to the hospital are stable, while one is reported in critical condition.
At least two people were being treated for stab wounds, four were injured by the vehicle and two others were being treated for cuts, university officials said.
University officials had initially reported that an active shooter was present on campus and sent an emergency alert to all students and faculty advising them to “run, hide, fight”.
She received the lockdown alert just as she arrived on campus, so she proceeded to the nearest residence hall, where she stayed in a friend’s dorm room.
The tweet instructs students in the area to “run hide fight”.
The incident prompted OSU to send out an “active shooter” alert, urging students and staff to shelter in place, run, or “fight”.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone has been injured.
An Ohio State University spokesman says a suspect in Monday morning’s attack on campus has been shot and killed. Last year, Artan spoke to student newspaper Humans of Ohio State.
