Jets, Bowles surprised, disappointed Richardson hid arrest

Richardson spoke to his parents Thursday night about the latest incident and said he has to improve his “decision-making”. The coach called the most recent developments “upsetting” and “disappointing”. But he has to live with that. I’m not trying to. I can’t turn my back on him right now.

Reports of the arrest didn’t surface until late Thursday, less than one hour after Richardson, commenting publicly for the first time on the suspension, vowed to stay clean.

As reported by the probable cause statement, police also believed that Richardson should have been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, but Lohmar told the Post-Dispatch that his office felt there wasn’t enough evidence on that charge.
