One in seven with HIV in Europe unaware of infection

According to UNAIDS, half of the 36 million or so people with HIV around the world have access to anti-retroviral drugs (ARVs), a figure that has doubled in five years. On Thursday UNICEF has came out with a report projecting that HIV infections among adolescents – now 250,000 a year – could rise dramatically over the next 15 years if more isn’t done to address sexual transmission among teens.
