Victoria’s Secret fashion hits Paris runways

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2016 started with a bang in Paris. So walking in it is a really big deal for me.

“Kendall, we have been here for like three minutes”. Lady Gaga appeared for Mountain Romance, donning a rose patterned gown that hugged her silhouette, while models floated past.

But both Bella and Abel seemed fine on stage, he even serenaded her as she walked down the runway, which has of course already spurred tabloid rumours that they’re getting back together.

With black feathers on her hips and rising up behind her, the star looks like a handsome mythical creature as she hit her mark at the end of the runway.

The eye-popping flesh-flashing ensemble Gigi wore was the most fantastic things that you could spot on the runway. “And I think she is going to do great because Victoria’s Secret is all about personality, and she has her own personality”. I’m paid to care about this, ok?!

Backstage, Jasmine Tookes talked about another highlight of this year’s lingerie show: the $3 million fantasy bra. If you haven’t smelled this one yet, it’s a wintry floral scent with sexy, sparkling notes meant to represent the Eiffel Tower when it’s all lit up in the dead of night. Yum. (Selita Ebanks and Tyra Banks being the first two).

The show featured a total of four models from the mainland: Xi Mengyao, He Sui, Ju Xiaowen and Liu Wen – more than the worldwide underwear company has ever used.

It doesn’t take a super fan to know it takes a lot of working out, clean eating and dedication to be a Victoria Secret model – but what actually goes into making those incredible bodies in the weeks leading up to the Fashion Show? This is a first!

Paris is the capital of fashion. The brand has come a pretty long way since Naomi Campbell was basically the only occasional diversity on their catwalk, am I right?
