Pep Guardiola has high praise for Antonio Conte’s Chelsea

Pep Guardiola had barely savoured Manchester City’s 2-1 victory at Burnley before he was considering preparations for a more sumptuous Premier League feast against pacesetters Chelsea.

The fact Guardiola still regards United as title contenders just goes to show how anything can happen in England’s top flight. People think of him as more of a defensive midfielder here, possibly because he’s played with Yaya [Toure] for a couple of seasons, but he can do both.

Aguero’s predatory nature ensured that City go into their toughest month of the season with a win.

City battled to a 2-1 victory over Burnley in Saturday’s early kick-off having played away to Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League on Wednesday.
