WEATHER: Cold front moving in, rain chances return over weekend
Most of the day looks dry but by Saturday night we’ll start to increase precipitation chances.
Accumulations will be light to none.
Highs this weekend will only reach the 40s!
Friday will be breezy and cooler with partly sunny skies south and mostly cloudy skies with occasional snow showers north. Rain is forecast to end from west to east during the day Monday. Low temperatures will remain near 50 both mornings. This will bring a much better chance for showers and storms late this afternoon into the overnight period.
A big time arctic blast heads our way for the middle of next week with some snow flurries and highs only in the 20’s and 30’s.
As of now, another decent chance for rain comes back into the picture Monday and Tuesday; we’ll be monitoring. Temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 60s with morning lows in the low 50s. Long range models show a cold winter blast of air arriving by next Friday. Expect a soaker on Sunday with highs in the lower 50s. “Generally, areas north of 1-80 will see about 1-2” during Sunday morning where overnight lows will fall around freezing.
With a broad area of westerly flow, we will likely see terrain enhanced rain and mountain snow becoming mostly snow early this weekend.
