Penn St. rallies to beat No. 6 Wisconsin 38-31

The Nittany Lions saw Washington – along with its 128th-ranked out of conference schedule – grab the fourth seed. Wisconsin has a dominant defense, giving up just 13.7 points and 292 yards per game.

“It was detailed, it was hard conversation and we looked a lot of things”, Hocutt said.

“I myself think Alabama has done enough whether they have a conference champion behind their resume or not”. Penn State looked woefully overmatched for the first, oh, 25 minutes of the game.

The Badgers took at 31-28 lead very early in the 4th quarter, but could not keep up with the Nittany Lions for the rest of the game. Though they trail Wisconsin in the rankings, Penn State might actually have the better case for inclusion.

And once again they stormed back out of the locker room as McSorley finished with four touchdown passes to lead Penn State to an improbable victory.

Mayfield made the announcement after he passed for 288 yards and three touchdowns to lead the seventh-ranked Sooners. They met in the 2014 Orange Bowl, which the Tigers won 40-35 after Sammy Watkins caught 16 passes for 227 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the entire red half of the stadium filled with Wisconsin supporters flooded out, and the Penn State faithful stayed and sang the victory song, belting it out with a little extra pride.

After Penn State unsuccessfully attempted a fourth down from its own 42-yard line, the Badgers drove down the field in five plays, capped off by Dare Ogunbowale’s seven-yard touchdown run to make it 28-7.
