Dealmaker Trump keeping any Cabinet decisions under wraps

Loyal Trump enthusiast Giuliani is meeting with Trump today in Bedminster and he’s “of course” still in the mix for the top diplomatiming Trump chief of staff, Reince Priebus told ABC’s “This Week.” Scott Brown, and Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin. It would come as a big surprise to man if he actually chose Romney for secretary of state as some are speculating, but don’t be surprised if this was just a show piece.
It was hard to tell if some of the visitors were on the job hunt. He said his priorities would be to combat veterans’ mental health issues in hopes of preventing suicides.
Vice President-elect Mike Pence is traveling to MS, where his son is stationed, for the holiday. Trump spokesman Jason Miller said “there definitely is a possibility” that more Cabinet announcements could be made Monday.
Pence’s son, Michael, is a Marine who is training to be a pilot.
Between conversations, Mr. Trump revealed he was making plans for transitioning his family.
Mitt Romney went hat in hand to meet President-elect Donald Trump this weekend and offer his services to someone he denounced as unfit to be commander in chief, signaling the GOP establishment’s near-complete capitulation to an outsider who defied the party and captured the White House.
The campaign said the pair had a “productive discussion” on Sunday on law enforcement and domestic security. A second participant affirmed this and said the journalists spoke with Trump about the importance of the press pool, CNN reported.
He said the transition team “is working very smoothly, efficiently and effectively” and meeting with “patriots” “many of whom will soon be a part of our government”.
Conway warned against drawing any conclusions from Trump’s meetings. “My God, what does it say about America if we’re going to inflict torture on people?”
Trump, however, started the day off on a different note _ by sparking a feud on social media over what happened when his vice president-elect attended the critically acclaimed Broadway musical “Hamilton”.
After the show, actor Brandon Victor Dixon, who in the play portrays America’s third vice president, Aaron Burr, read a statement directed at Pence while standing in front of the cast in full costume. Dixon gave Vice President-elect Mike Pence an onstage earful about equality at the end of Friday’s performance.
Trump on Saturday demanded an apology over the comments, but Pence on Sunday declined to ask for one. Romney openly called Trump a “con man” and a “fraud” during the campaign and said in an interview that a Trump presidency would bring about “trickle-down racism” and “trickle-down bigotry”.
But even as Trump and his team discussed some of the weightiest matters facing the country, the president-elect continued tweeting about an array of matters.
Trump also complained that “Saturday Night Live”, which thrives on making fun of politicians, is “biased” and not amusing.
It was announced Friday that Trump had agreed to a $25 million settlement to resolve three lawsuits over Trump University, his former school for real estate investors. “How about accepting the election results, Chris, and letting him form a government?”
Mr. Trump’s remaining high-profile selections include the economic team that will join him at the White House.
The former governor shook hands with Trump when he arrived at Trump National Golf Club and told reporters 90 minutes later that the pair spoke about USA interests around the globe.
He also met with education activists Michelle Rhee and Betsy DeVos, as well as retired Marine Gen. James Mattis, considered a contender to lead the Pentagon.
