Lynn’s Rowe to take over Florida coaching job

The Pittsburgh Penguins were out of the playoffs when they fired their coach early on last season.

Some pundits are speculating Gallant and assistant coach Mike Kelly, also from P.E.I., could quickly find work with other National Hockey League franchises such as the new team in Las Vegas or the New York Islanders. Rowe will take over as coach, and will remain there for the rest of the season.
