Abductors of California mom kept faces covered
Bosenko said authorities are trying to do a sketch of the suspects based on Papini’slimited recollections.
Keith Papini told ABC News’ 20/20 in an exclusive interview that his wife told him she had been in a vehicle with her alleged captors and that her right arm was chained to something inside the auto but her left hand was free.
Investigators say they have no reason to doubt Sherri Papini’s story that she was abducted by two women who held her captive and badly abused her for three weeks. She was found 150 miles from her home by a motorist alongside a highway.
“My first sight was my in a hospital bed”. Investigators showed Papini surveillance footage from the area near where she was abducted November 2, but Papini said none of the “SUV-style” vehicles in it was a match, Bosenko said. They also kept Sherri’s head covered, preventing an exact identification.
Papini described “suspect 1” as the younger suspect. Also, her nose bridge broken and hair chopped by the abductors. Bosenko said Wednesday that detectives traveled to MI as part of their investigation when she was still missing, but he said that so far none of those earlier leads appear linked to her abduction.
Authorities are now looking for two suspects.
Papini described “suspect 2” as older, with straight black hair – graying in color, and thick eyebrows. She had thick eyebrows.
Bosenko would not say where they may have taken her for the 22 days Papini was missing from Mountain Gate, but she was dropped off in chains early Thanksgiving morning near Interstate 5 and County Road 17 in Yolo County.
Until now, police have come forward with limited descriptions of the suspects, two Hispanic women driving a dark-coloured SUV, armed with a handgun. The
Keith described what it was like when he found out his wife Sherri was missing and how they were reunited.
Is there any indication that this is cartel related or possibly sex trafficking?
Mother-of-two Sherri Papini went for a jog on Wednesday, November 3, and was found three weeks later. Numerous details on Sherri’s injuries came out in the days that followed. Her cellphone and headphones were found near where she had last been seen, about a mile from her home, investigators said. “Sherri has always captured my heart, and it is no surprise that she has captured the hearts not only through the country but throughout the world”. Many were filed under seal, the Sacramento Bee reported.
Keith Papini is calling the rumor of a “race war” a “malicious prank”, saying that Sherri Papini is not racist.
“Right now we have no known reason why she was abducted, we do not know if she was specifically targeted or if this was a random abduction”.
“There was no obvious trail and clues to what happened”, said Ryan Parry, who took a 4:30 a.m. flight from his Los Angeles office to Redding they day after Papini was found.
Bosenko wouldn’t specify what the message was, adding only that her alleged captor or captors were “very sick”.
