When asked if China will intervene in Taiwan’s relations with its diplomatic allies, Presidential Office spokesman Alex Huang (黃重諺) said such speculation is not true.

Washington recognizes Beijing’s sovereignty over Taiwan.
However, the Foreign Ministry does not wield the same power as the party leadership and a more meaningful reaction would come from that office or from the Chinese military.
