Westbrook’s triple-double leads Thunder past Hawks 102-99
Westbrook has sparked a six-game winning streak by the Thunder.
Totals in place, Westbrook is in no danger of dropping below the triple-double mark with a bad game against Atlanta. That’s what we’re all talking about, right?
Pacers: They narrowly missed a season low in points in the first quarter, saved only by Aaron Brooks making three free throws for 17, one off their season low. If it wasn’t a foul, it was a turnover. Even without all the other factors, the Thunder have Russell Westbrook, something Atlanta doesn’t.
George, who missed six of the previous seven games with an ankle injury, also collected seven rebounds and five assists. On Sunday, the Thunder point guard had 28 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists in a 101-92 win over New Orleans.
Westbrook has become such a fashion icon that he’s signed a big endorsement deal with True Religion, where he has his own Russell Westbrook line of jeans, t-shirts and hats. Westbrook is actually an assist and two rebounds away from nine consecutive triple-doubles. That was damaging for the Hawks and a stat that will hurt the team’s ego.

Let’s discuss Westbrook, specifically, the Law of Russ. I really do. Like I said, if you say, who is he like? Please see our terms of service for more information.
Westbrook is averaging 10.8 rebounds, which is ranked top 10.
You hear people talk about “regression to the mean” all the time.
These games always seem close, though, nearly no matter how they start.
The same thing applies to Russ, except that it’s usually in reverse because he never starts out that hot.
“We didn’t get off to a good start. We need this to be a collective effort every night”.
Such is the Law of Russ.
Aside from Westbrook, the other stand out performance came from Anthony Morrow.
Of course, it was just a matter of time before Westbrook found his shooting range.
Korver is averaging just 8.5 points per game and has struggled to get open looks at the basket.
Aside from that dunk, Oladipo didn’t have a great game. “[But you need] guys scoring the ball [on your team]”.
Neither a starting lineup change nor the return of Paul Millsap made a difference in the final result.
Kawhi Leonard provided 22 points and San Antonio ran its road record to 12-0 despite falling behind by 15 in a 97-96 win at Milwaukee. The last time he had played in Oklahoma, he scored 36 points to help the Sooners beat VCU and advance to the Sweet 16.
The mercurial point guard was 10 of 22 from the floor, three of eight from deep, and had 16 points in the third quarter and 11 in the fourth as he took the game over after halftime.
The Thunder will have the next three days off and will be back in action on Friday when it hosts James Harden and the Rockets.
