Black Friday Eve deals tempt Thanksgiving shoppers

Most Kohl’s stores will be open throughout Black Friday, but it will be best to check online for hours specific to the store you will be visiting as operation hours may differ. Nearly all the major stores including Target have worked out some fantastic deals for their customers.

The toys typically cost around $70, but the secondary market online is already selling them for much more.

There are a lot of things to be thankful for on Thanksgiving Day and one of them is the massive amount of discounts to be enjoyed the day after on Black Friday.

Black Friday, long touted as the holiday shopping season’s official kickoff, again attracted throngs of eager bargain hunters despite earlier promotions and increasing online sales. Several big-name retailers are touting Star Wars gear in their Black Friday circulars, ready to capitalize on the December 16 release of the latest movie in the franchise.

The Cedar Falls man says he’s doing all his Christmas shopping on Black Friday, buying gifts for himself, his wife and family “until my card blows up”.

The United States is in full shopping mode now. It was founded by George Dayton and is headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Despite that, stores like Boscov’s, JCPenney, Macy’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods were all open on the holiday. Target is known for it’s focus on “the needs of its younger, image-conscious shoppers”.

Apart from Black Friday there is Small Business Saturday, Giving Tuesday and Cyber Monday.

One local shopper says people watching on Black Friday is a fun tradition shared with her family. Closing times may vary so check with your nearest Target stores for the exact time. Costco opens at 9 a.m. on November 25, and that’s when their Doorbuster deals start, so you might want to get their early if you want one of their Doorbusters. Another major advantage of buying these from Black Friday deals is that you can compare them and be satisfied.

With the lure of steep discounts and the possibility of real deals, many gave up sleep and headed to the Queens Center Mall for Black Friday shopping.

The trend is reversing now, with the buying public criticizing retailers that stay open on Thanksgiving Day, saying the policy is disrespectful and unfair to employees. For some shoppers, big discounts on electronics are the draw. Returns are free, too. They will both offer insane deals and discounts on thousands of products.

Isn’t Black Friday just hype at this point? Walmart has made major investments in its app recently, and the retailer chose to offer certain deals exclusively via app for the first time ever this year. The benefit of online shopping is that you will know right away if the item you want is out of stock, so that you can easily find another one without having to travel from store to store.
