It was pre-decided: SRK on ‘Raees’ release date change

Raees movie is directed by the Rahul Dholakia and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Excel Entertainment. Now, Raees and Kaabil were going to clash.

But Rakesh Roshan did not listen. It will now hit theatres on January 25.

Amid ongoing India-Pakistan tension, the trailer of the much-anticipated Shah Rukh and Mahira Khan starrer Raees is finally out and it has genius written all over it. I would have never done the same.

Even though his orthopaedic has advised complete rest, the 50-year-old actor continues to fight reel life battles. Therefore, we took the decision to release the film a day before. But when I announced the film in February, I saw a clean window in January and hence I picked the date. I think my stardom has overtaken my acting capability and it’s alright.

A well over two-minute “Raees” trailer has plenty of Mahira Khan showing her killer acting skills and energy when chatting, flirting and dancing along with King Khan.

“When all the good artists work together, it makes everyone emotional”.

“But I think as we have been assured, it is seeming to ease off. and we did notice that with “Dear Zindagi”. And, it will be available in screens from Wednesday morning, unlike Kaabil’s evening start. They haven’t stopped issuing Visas and that’s why Mahira Khan can definitely be there for the events. It’s a logical decision as 26th is a holiday.

During the trailer launch of Raees, Rahul clearly said that if the team finds it necessary to bring Mahira for promotions, she’ll definitely be there.
